From Chile to the World – Marama's Musical Journey

Marama is a Chilean singer and songwriter who has made her mark with her soulful voice and emotionally-driven lyrics. Born in 1982 in the town of Santiago, Marama started making music at a very young age. She was influenced by popular artists from her country, such as Los Jaivas, Congreso, Inti Illimani, and Violeta Parra. Marama quickly gained recognition in Chile and started performing in small festivals and venues throughout the country. In 2003, she released her first album titled ""Una Vez Más"". The single ""Un Trago"" became a hit throughout Latin America.

Rise to Fame

Two years later, Marama released her second album called ""Sí"". The song ""Este Amor"" was a major success, topping the Latin American music charts for many months. With this album, Marama started to tour throughout South America and established a large fan base. Her third album ""Bajo el mismo cielo"" was released in 2009 and featured collaborations with Argentinian artists Nahuel Pennisi and Ariel Rot. The album was certified gold in Chile, cementing Marama's fame as one of the most important singers of the region.

Recent Work

In 2012, Marama released her fourth album titled ""Tiempo"". This album featured a more mature sound compared to her previous work and was warmly received by both fans and critics alike. After this release, Marama's career went on a hiatus while she focused on other projects such as writing books and acting in TV shows. However, she came back in 2017 with her fifth studio album called ""Mar de Colores"". This album showcased a more pop-oriented sound and was produced with some of the most renowned producers in Latin America. Since then, Marama has been touring all around South America and is currently working on new material for her upcoming sixth album.
