About Mc Magal

Mc Magal is a Brazilian rapper, singer and songwriter from the city of São Paulo. His real name is Mario César Magalhães and he was born in 1982. Mc Magal started his career in music making beats for other artists in 1996. In 2004 he released his first single, “O Som da Galera”. Since then, he has become one of the most popular Brazilian rappers. His music combines elements of rap and hip hop with funk, samba and reggae. He has released four studio albums, including his most recent one, “A Noite é Nossa” (2018). Mc Magal has collaborated with many well-known Brazilian artists such as Zeca Pagodinho, Seu Jorge and Marcelo D2. He has also performed at some of the biggest festivals in Brazil such as Planeta Atlântida and Virada Cultural.

Mc Magal has released four studio albums: “Fim de Semana” (2008), “Vou de Samba” (2012), “A Vida é Uma Festa” (2016) and “A Noite é Nossa” (2018). The albums feature collaborations with many well-known Brazilian artists such as Zeca Pagodinho, Seu Jorge and Marcelo D2. His songs have become popular among Brazilian listeners and he has been nominated for several awards throughout his career.

Mc Magal has been nominated for several awards throughout his career. In 2009 he was nominated for Best Brazilian Rap Album at the Latin Grammy Awards for his album “Fim de Semana”. In 2011 he was nominated for Best Pop Album at the Multishow Brazilian Music Awards for his album “Vou de Samba”. In 2016 he was nominated for Best Rap Album at the Latin Grammy Awards for his album “A Vida é Uma Festa”.

Personal Life

Mc Magal is married to singer Roberta Sá and they have two children together. He currently resides in his hometown of São Paulo with his family.
