Who Are Nightwish? Nightwish is a symphonic metal band from Finland. Formed in 1996 by keyboardist and songwriter Tuomas Holopainen, the group is known for their unique sound and style that blends symphonic metal with elements of opera, folk, and gothic rock. The current lineup consists of Tuomas Holopainen (keyboards), Marco Hietala (bass, vocals), Jukka Nevalainen (drums), and Emppu Vuorinen (guitar).The Band's Career Nightwish released their debut album Angels Fall First in 1997 to critical acclaim. Since then, they have released seven more studio albums and numerous successful singles, including “Endless Forms Most Beautiful”, “The Islander” and “Storytime”. The band has collaborated with several other artists over the years, including Tarja Turunen, Floor Jansen and Tony Kakko. Nightwish has won numerous awards throughout their career including the Emma Award for Best Band in 2005 and two Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards in 2008.Their Music Nightwish's music is characterized by dark themes and heavy instrumentation.
