Problem (born Jason Martin) is an American rapper from Los Angeles, California. He is most known for his 2013 hit single 'Like Whaaat'. The song peaked at number 49 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Problem has released four mixtapes since 2010.

Early Life

Problem was born Jason Martin in Compton, California. He began rapping at the age of eight, inspired by Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre. Problem attended Centennial High School in Compton and later transferred to another school in Long Beach.

Career

In 2010, Problem released his first mixtape 'The Separation'. The following year he released 'The Separation II'. In 2012, Problem released 'Welcome to Mollywood', volume 1 and 2. The mixtapes featured guests such as E-40, Sage the Gemini, Tinashe and TeeFlii. In 2013, Problem released his fourth mixtape titled '35th Avenue Stories'. The mixtape featured guest appearances from Ty Dolla Sign, Bad Lucc and Dizzy Wright. This project also included his hit single 'Like Whaaat', which peaked at number 49 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. In 2014, Problem released his fifth mixtape titled 'Million Dollar Afro'. It featured guest appearances from Snoop Dogg, Iamsu!, Wiz Khalifa, Juicy J and more. In 2015, Problem released his sixth mixtape titled '6/27'. It featured guest appearances from Bad Lucc, T.I., Nipsey Hussle and more.
