Who is Rakim?

Rakim is an American hip hop artist from Wyandanch, New York. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential and most skilled MCs of all time. Rakim began his career in 1986 as half of the duo Eric B. & Rakim, and released four albums with Eric B. His solo career started in 1997 with the album The 18th Letter.
