Rani Rangili is a popular Rajasthani folk singer based in India. She came to fame in the 1990s with her first album ‘Banni Ke Panchi’, which went on to be a huge hit in India. She has since released several albums, performing songs in different styles including Bhajan, Sufi, and Ghazal.

Early Life and Career

Rani was born and raised in the small village of Bikaner, Rajasthan. From an early age, she was interested in music and had a natural talent for singing. At the age of 18, she began performing at local festivals and contests. Eventually, she won a local singing competition which opened up many opportunities for her. In 1993, she released her first album ‘Banni Ke Panchi’ which was highly successful and made her an overnight celebrity. Since then, she has gone on to release several other albums and collaborate with numerous other artists such as Guddu Rangeela, Kuldeep Sen, and Komal Rizvi.

Achievements

Throughout her career, Rani has achieved numerous awards including two Filmfare Awards for Best Female Singer, four Filmfare Awards for Best Folk Singer, and one Screen Award for Best Female Playback Singer. She has also been the recipient of multiple honorary awards from the Government of India for her contributions to Rajasthani folk music.
