Rasheeda is an American rapper, singer and fashion designer from Atlanta, Georgia. She is best known for her 2000 single 'My Bubble Gum' which reached number 12 on the Billboard chart. She has released several albums over the years and has collaborated with many well-known artists. Her most recent album was released in 2019.

Early Life

Rasheeda was born on May 25th, 1976 in Atlanta, Georgia. Raised by her single mother, she grew up in a musical household with her two sisters. At the age of 16, she got her start in music when she joined a rap group called Da Kaperz. The group released a few singles and even performed at the Atlanta's Hot 107.9 Annual Birthday Bash.

Career

In 1998, Rasheeda signed to independent label D-Lo Entertainment and released her debut album Dirty South Street Ni**a. The album featured the hit single 'My Bubble Gum' which reached number 12 on the Billboard chart. She released her second album Ga Peach in 2003 and was followed by three other albums, Off Da Chain (2005), Certified Hot Chick (2008) and Boss Chick Music (2011). She also released two mixtapes: F*ck It in 2011 and RNS in 2012. In 2019 she released her latest album Pr3stige.

Over the years, Rasheeda has collaborated with many well-known artists such as Trina, Ciara, Yo Gotti, Ludacris, T-Pain and many more. She has also been featured on tracks by artists such as French Montana, E-40 and Lil Scrappy.

Personal Life

Rasheeda married Kirk Frost in 1999 and the couple have two sons together. The couple often appear together on their family reality show Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta which has aired since 2012. Outside of music and television, Rasheeda owns her own clothing line Pressed Boutique which she launched in 2005.
