Who is Ro James?

Ro James (real name Ronald James Corbin) is an American singer-songwriter and record producer hailing from Harlem, New York. He is best known for his soulful fusion of hip-hop, R&B, soul and funk music.

Early Life

Ro James was born on October 26th, 1986. He grew up in Harlem with his parents and three siblings. In high school, he sang in the church choir and formed his own hip-hop group. It was during this time that he developed his passion for music.

Career

After graduating from high school, Ro James moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music. He soon signed with Def Jam Recordings and released his debut single “Permission” in 2016.
