Rodney Atkins: A Grammy-Nominated Country Music Artist

Rodney Allan Atkins is a Grammy-nominated American country music artist. Born in Knoxville, Tennessee on March 28th, 1969, Atkins began his musical career in 1997 when he signed with Curb Records. His debut album Honesty was released in 2003 and included the singles ""Sing Along"" and ""Honesty (Write Me a List)"".

Atkins' second album If You're Going Through Hell was released in 2006 and reached number one on the US Billboard 200 chart. It included the singles ""If You're Going Through Hell (Before the Devil Even Knows)"", ""Watching You"", and ""Cleaning This Gun (Come on In Boy)"" which all reached the top of the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. The album also earned him nominations for the Academy of Country Music Awards for Album of the Year and Top Male Vocalist of the Year.

Atkins' third album It's America was released in 2009, reaching number 4 on the US Billboard 200 chart. It featured collaborations with producer Don Was and included the singles ""It's America"", ""Chasin' Girls"", and ""15 Minutes"". His fourth album Take a Back Road was released in 2011 and debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart. It spawned four Top 40 singles including ""Take a Back Road"" and ""He's Mine"".

Atkins' fifth studio album Caught Up in the Country was released in 2018, featuring collaborations with The Fisk Jubilee Singers and The McCrary Sisters. It peaked at number 5 on the US Billboard 200 chart and included the singles ""Caught Up In The Country"", ""My Life"" and ""Thank God For You"".

Now, over twenty years since his debut album, Atkins has become an acclaimed country music artist who continues to make meaningful music for fans around the world.
