Who Is ROSÉ (로제)? ROSÉ (로제) is a South Korean singer and songwriter born Roseanne Park on February 11, 1997. She is best known for being the lead vocalist of the South Korean girl group Blackpink since its formation in 2016. She has also featured in songs by other K-pop stars such as BTS and EXO.Early Life and Career Beginnings ROSÉ was born in Auckland, New Zealand to Korean parents. At a young age, she moved to Australia where she attended Canterbury Girls' Secondary College in Melbourne. After being scouted by YG Entertainment in 2012 at the YG open audition in Australia, she officially became a trainee of the company in May 2012. She trained for four years before debuting with Blackpink.Music Career ROSÉ debuted with Blackpink on August 8, 2016 with their single album Square One. The album spawned two hit tracks, “Whistle” and “Boombayah”, both of which topped various South Korea music charts. On March 28, 2017, Blackpink released their first mini-album Square Two with the lead single “Playing with Fire”. On August 30, 2017, the group released their second single album Square Up with the title track “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du”.Collaborations In addition to her work with Blackpink, ROSÉ has collaborated with other K-pop stars such as BTS and EXO.
