ROZES is the stage name of Elizabeth Mencel, an American singer-songwriter from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She has been making waves in the music industry since 2015 when she began collaborating with EDM duo The Chainsmokers on their hit single “Roses”. Since then, ROZES has continued to grow her fanbase with her own solo work and collaborations with other artists such as Marshmello and Cash Cash.

Early Life and Career Beginnings

Elizabeth Mencel was born in 1992 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She began playing piano when she was five years old and went on to study music at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. After college, she moved to Los Angeles where she began working as a songwriter for other artists.

Breakthrough with The Chainsmokers

In 2015, ROZES got her big break when she collaborated with EDM duo The Chainsmokers on their single “Roses”. The song was an instant success, reaching number six on the Billboard Hot 100 and number one on the Dance/Electronic Songs chart.

Solo Career

ROZES released her debut solo EP Burn Wild in 2016, which featured the singles “Under the Grave” and “Everything”. She followed up with her second EP Wild in 2017 and released her debut full-length album ROZES in 2019. She has also collaborated with other artists such as Marshmello and Cash Cash.

Personal Life

ROZES currently resides in Los Angeles, California. She is an active philanthropist who works with organizations such as Save the Music and MusiCares. In 2020, she launched her own charity called Music Saves Lives which helps to provide music education to underserved communities.
