Who is Ryan Bang?

Ryan Bang is a South Korean singer, rapper and television personality who has become a household name in the K-Pop industry. He began his career as a trainee at Cube Entertainment before moving onto television shows, such as Invincible Youth 2, Roommate and We Got Married. After leaving Cube Entertainment in 2017, he continued to pursue his music career as an independent artist.

Early Life & Career

Bang Hyun Sung was born on August 28th 1989 in Seoul, South Korea. He attended Hanlim Multi Arts School and was a member of the school's dance club. His career took off after entering the entertainment industry by competing in the Mnet's survival show Hot Blooded Men in 2009. After being eliminated from the show, he joined Cube Entertainment as a trainee and eventually made his debut with the group Beast alongside Yong Junhyung and 4 other members.

Breakthrough

In 2010, he made his first appearance on television when he joined the cast of the reality show Invincible Youth 2. He also appeared on Roommate which saw him live with 11 other celebrities in a share house for over a year. In 2014, he featured in We Got Married where he was paired up with model Choi Ye Seul and together they had to complete various missions while pretending to be married.

Solo Music Career & Other Ventures

In 2017, he left Cube Entertainment to pursue a solo career as an independent artist. He released several singles including 'Like This', 'Tulips' and 'Oh Baby'. In 2018, he released his debut EP 'BANG' which featured 5 tracks including a collaboration with ASH ISLAND. He is also active on YouTube where he posts vlogs and covers of different songs. Besides music and television shows, Ryan has also tried his hand at radio hosting and modelling.
