Ryan Hurd is an American country music singer-songwriter from Michigan. He has written songs for a number of well-known artists, including Blake Shelton, Dierks Bentley, Tim McGraw, Luke Bryan, and Lady Antebellum. He has released two albums on RCA Nashville: 2015's Platinum-certified 'Platonic' and 2020's 'Eversince'. He is married to fellow singer-songwriter Maren Morris.
Career
Hurd began writing songs at age 17 and moved to Nashville shortly after graduating from Michigan State University. He signed with Sony Music Publishing in 2010 and began writing songs for other artists. His first number one single as a songwriter was “We Were Us”, a duet by Keith Urban and Miranda Lambert. In 2013, he signed to RCA Nashville as a recording artist. His first single “We Go Together” was released in 2013 and peaked at number 30 on the Country Airplay chart. He released his debut album 'Platonic' in 2015 featuring the single “Hold You Back”. The album was certified Platinum by the RIAA for sales of one million copies. In 2018, he released the single “To a T” with Maren Morris which peaked at number 11 on the Country Airplay chart. In 2020, he released his second album 'Eversince' featuring the singles “Chasing After You” and “Every Other Memory”.
