Who is Sancak?

Sancak is a Turkish singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. His music has been described as a mix of electronic, pop and alternative rock, often with a hint of jazz. He has released two albums, both of which have been well received by critics. He has also collaborated with many renowned artists such as Edis, Cem Adrian and Gökhan Türkmen. He is currently working on new songs and projects.

Early Life and Career

Sancak was born in Istanbul, Turkey. He grew up listening to different genres of music, from rock to jazz and blues. His love for music started early on and he began playing the guitar at an early age. He went on to study music at the Academy of Music in Istanbul, where he learned to play various instruments such as the piano, drums, bass and guitar. After graduating from the academy, Sancak began to focus on his solo career, writing and producing his own music.

Collaborations

Sancak has collaborated with several well-known artists in the Turkish music scene. He has worked with Edis, Cem Adrian and Gökhan Türkmen on their albums. He has also done remixes for some of their songs. In addition to that, he has done some production work for other artists such as Emir Ersoy, Ufuk Beydemir and Sezen Aksu.

Discography

Sancak released his first album in 2017 titled “Dünya” (World). The album was very well received by critics and fans alike. It featured singles such as “Hayat” (Life), “Aşk” (Love) and “Düşler” (Dreams). His second album “Yol” (Road) was released in 2019. It featured singles such as “Yol” (Road), “Güzel” (Beautiful) and “Kader” (Fate).

Live Performances

Sancak has performed live around Turkey, Europe and even in the United States. He has taken part in festivals such as Pop Akademi Festival in Istanbul and Rock'n Coke Festival in Istanbul as well as performing at various venues in Europe such as London's O2 Arena, Paris' Le Bataclan and Amsterdam's Paradiso. He also performed at SXSW Music Festival in Austin, Texas in 2020.

Recent Projects

Sancak is currently working on new songs and projects. His latest single “Veda” (Goodbye) was released in 2020. The song is about saying goodbye to someone you care about but knowing that they will always remain in your heart. Sancak is currently working on his third album which is expected to be released later this year.
