The Success Story of Seedhe Maut

Who are Seethe Maut?

Calm (Siddhant Sharma) and Encore ABJ (Abhijay Negi) are both part of Seedhe Maut, a dynamic hip hop duo based in New Delhi, India.

Seethe Maut’s Story

Calm and Encore first met at a Delhi underground battle rap tournament hosted by MC Kode and Encore ABJ. They hit it off and soon discovered their shared passion for hip-hop. This led them to collaborate and form Seedhe Maut.

Prior to this, Calm had experience rapping in English, but with the formation of Seedhe Maut, he began to explore rapping in Hindi as well. In 2017, the duo released their first track, “Seedhe Maut Anthem,” and since then, they have focused on creating hip hop music that addresses serious global issues such as politics, Indian society, and the education system.

Seethe Maui’s Music

Seedhe Maut's debut album, "Bayaan," is an authentic masterpiece created in collaboration with Sez On The Beat. This album is a testament to the power of the stories that the Indian youth has to offer to the world. The album was produced over one year, during which the team crafted a body of work that was widely acclaimed by critics and touched the hearts of people across India.

Their track "Nayaab" is an introduction that recounts the first time Calm, Encore ABJ, and Sez On The Beat met and how they came together to create revolutionary Indian Hip-Hop projects like "2 Ka Pahada" and "Bayaan."

The album "Nayaab" represents their journey after "Bayaan." Although they have taken different paths since then, they have faced many challenges both as individuals and as friends, only reuniting once they were confident they could surpass the bar they had set for themselves. "Nayaab" is their most candid and vulnerable work to date, offering an unfiltered glimpse into their psyche and how they process, understand, and act upon the ups and downs of their lives.

Their shared passion for hip-hop and their friendship underpins their creativity, making "Nayaab" a benchmark for Indian hip-hop.
