The Early Years

Soledad Pastorutti, known simply as Soledad, was born in La Paz, Salta, Argentina in 1979. She entered show business at the tender age of 15 when she performed her first song at a local festival. Soledad quickly became a sensation and started singing professionally in 1995 as part of the folk music band “Los Nocheros”.

Solo Career

In 1999, Soledad began her solo career with her debut album “La Sole”. The album was an instant hit and won the Latin Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Album in 2000. Two years later, she released her second album “Mentirosa” which was equally successful. Over the next decade, she released five more albums that cemented her status as one of Argentina's most beloved singers.

Acting Career

In 2008, Soledad made her acting debut in the Argentinean film “Cumpleaños de una Estrella”. Since then, she has acted in several television series and films, most notably “Los Reyes del Pueblo Que No Existe” (2013) and “El Hombre de las Mil Caras” (2015).

Collaborations

In addition to her solo career, Soledad has collaborated with several prominent artists such as Gustavo Cerati and La Beriso. She has also released several duets with famous singers such as Carlos Gardel and Juanes.

Awards

Soledad has won numerous awards throughout her career including two Latin Grammy Awards, four Gardel Awards, four Graffiti Awards and one Premios Carlos Gardel Award. She has also been nominated for three Premios ACE Awards.
