The Success Story of Spin Doctors
Who Are The Spin Doctors?
The Spin Doctors are an American rock band from New York City, best known for their early 1990s hits, “Two Princes” and “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong”. The original line-up consisted of Chris Barron on lead vocals, Eric Schenkman on guitar, Aaron Comess on drums, and Mark White on bass.
Early Beginnings
The Spin Doctors formed in 1988 when Barron and Schenkman met at a party on New York's Lower East Side. They began gigging around town and caught the attention of Epic Records, who signed them in 1989. They released their debut album Pocket Full of Kryptonite in 1991. The album quickly rose to the top of the US charts, eventually reaching double-platinum status.
Successful Career
The band's follow-up album, Turn It Upside Down (1994), featured their most successful single to date, “Two Princes”. Their third album, You've Got to Believe in Something (1996), saw the band exploring more diverse musical styles. The Spin Doctors released their fourth album Here Comes the Bride in 1999 before taking a break from recording new material. In 2012, they released If the River Was Whiskey, a return to their blues roots.
