Who Is Tash Sultana?

Tash Sultana is an Australian singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer. Born in Melbourne in 1996, she began playing guitar at the age of three, and by seventeen was busking on the streets of her home city. At the age of nineteen, she went viral on YouTube with her song “Jungle”, and since then has released two EP's, two studio albums and several singles. She's also recorded tracks with artists such as Matt Corby and Paul Kelly.

In 2015, Tash Sultana released her debut EP “Notion” which caught the attention of Triple J Unearthed radio. It was followed by her first full length album “Flow State” in 2018 which debuted at number one on the ARIA charts and featured hit singles such as “Mystik” and “Salvation”. In 2019 she released the single “Can’t Buy Happiness” which went to number one on the ARIA singles chart. Tash has also performed at some of the world’s biggest music festivals including Glastonbury, Coachella, Bonnaroo and more.

In 2021, Tash Sultana is hard at work recording new music and preparing for a world tour that is scheduled to kick off in September 2021. She has also been using her platform to raise awareness around important social issues and inspire her fans to make positive changes in their lives. Tash is an advocate for mental health awareness and works closely with mental health charities to help spread awareness about the issue. She also recently launched her own record label called Lonely Lands Records which aims to provide a platform for independent musicians to showcase their music around the world.
