Who are The Amity Affliction?

The Amity Affliction is an Australian metalcore band from Gympie, Queensland formed in 2003. The band consists of Ahren Stringer (bass guitar, backing vocals), Dan Brown (rhythm guitar), Chris Burt (lead guitar) and Marcus Bridge (vocals).

History

The Amity Affliction's debut album Severed Ties was released in 2008 and was followed by Youngbloods in 2010. Both albums were produced by Joel Birch's brother Ahren, who is also a member of the band. After touring extensively in support of both albums, the band released Chasing Ghosts in 2012. The album was a huge success and peaked at number 4 on the ARIA Albums Chart.

The Amity Affliction's music style is primarily metalcore with elements of post-hardcore, punk rock and melodic hardcore.
