We The Kings is an American pop-rock band from Bradenton, Florida. Formed in 2005, the band consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Travis Clark, lead guitarist Hunter Thomsen, bassist Drew Thomsen, and drummer Danny Duncan. To date, the band has released seven studio albums. Their music has been featured in several films and television series including 'Glee' and 'The Vampire Diaries'.
Early Years and Breakthrough
We The Kings was formed in 2005 while the members were still in high school. They released their self-titled debut album in 2007 which spawned the hit single “Check Yes Juliet”. This song reached number one on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart and number twenty-four on the Billboard Pop 100 chart. The band's follow-up album 'Smile Kid' was released in 2009 and included the singles “Heaven Can Wait” and “We'll Be a Dream”.
Recent Projects
In 2011, We The Kings released their third album 'Sunshine State of Mind'. This album featured the singles “Say You Like Me” and “Friday Is Forever”. In 2013, they released their fourth album 'Somewhere Somehow', which included the singles “Just Keep Breathing” and “Any Other Way”. The band's fifth album 'Strange Love' was released in 2015, followed by their sixth album 'Six' in 2017. In 2018, they released their seventh album 'Seventeen', featuring the single “The Story of Tonight”.
