Who is WUANT?

WUANT is the stage name of Juan Antonio Lopez, a talented singer, songwriter and producer born in Spain in 1984. He is one of the most popular Spanish pop-dance music artists today. He has released several successful singles and his music has been featured in several movies, TV shows and commercials.

Early Life & Career Beginnings

WUANT grew up in Madrid, Spain, where he started taking classical piano lessons at the age of 8. He started composing and producing his own music while still a teenager. In the early 2000s, he began to upload his songs to SoundCloud and other streaming platforms. His first big break came in 2010 when he released his first single “Bailo Contigo” with Universal Music Spain.

Rise to Fame

In 2012, WUANT released his self-titled debut album which gained him international recognition. The album was certified gold in Spain and featured the hit single “Quiero Bailar” which charted in several countries. He then went on to collaborate with renowned artists such as Lola Indigo and Fonsi Nieto. In 2017, he released his second album “Más Allá” which was certified platinum in Spain. The album included the hit single “Loco de Amor” which topped the Spanish charts for five weeks.

WUANT has won numerous awards throughout his career including two Latin Grammy Awards for Best Pop Album (2017) and Best Dance Album (2018). He has also won several MTV Europe Music Awards for Best Spanish Artist (2017) and Best Song (2018).

WUANT currently resides in Madrid with his wife and son. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer and spending time with his family.
