Early Life and Career

Rudd was born in Torquay, Victoria and grew up on the Great Ocean Road near Anglesea. He began playing the didgeridoo at the age of three and soon after learned to play guitar and several other instruments. At the age of 16, Rudd left school to pursue his music career. In 2002 he released his debut album To Let, which was recorded in Torquay's Salt Studios. This was followed by Solace (2004) and White Moth (2007). In 2009 he released his fourth studio album Dark Shades of Blue, which won an ARIA Music Award for Best Blues & Roots Album. His most recent album is Nanna (2020).
