Who Is Yelsid?

Yelsid is a Colombian reggaeton artist and songwriter who is currently taking the Latin music scene by storm. Born Juan David Correa in Medellín, Colombia in 1988, Yelsid grew up listening to traditional Latin music like salsa and bachata as well as hip hop, rap, and reggaeton. At the age of 16 he started writing his own songs and began performing at local events.

Career Highlights

Yelsid released his debut album, “El Arte de Amar”, in 2011 and it was an instant hit in his native Colombia as well as other Latin American countries. After that, he continued to release hit after hit including the hit single “Hazlo Tú” which was featured on the mixtape “Reggaeton Explosivo” in 2013. Yelsid has collaborated with some of the biggest names in the Latin music industry including J Balvin, Nicky Jam, Plan B, and Maluma. He has also performed at some of the biggest reggaeton festivals around the world such as Club Fuego in Miami and El Festival de la Música Latina in Mexico City.

Yelsid’s music can be described as a unique blend of traditional Latin rhythms like salsa and bachata mixed with modern reggaeton production. Latest Music

In 2019 Yelsid released his latest album “Contra el Viento” which features some of his biggest hits to date including “La Vida Me Cambió” and “Donde Estás”. The album was an instant success and reached number one on the Latin charts in Colombia, Mexico, and Argentina. Yelsid is currently working on new music for 2020 and beyond.}
