Who is Yomo?

Yomo (born Eduardo José Cabra Martínez) is a Puerto Rican rapper and music producer who has been making music for over a decade. He is best known for his collaborations with artists such as Daddy Yankee, J Balvin, Gente de Zona, and Don Omar. He has released two solo albums, as well as several hit singles that have topped Latin music charts.

Early Life and Career

Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 1982, Yomo was exposed to music from a very young age. His father was a musician who played the trombone in various salsa bands and his mother was a singer. Yomo began producing his own music at the age of 12 and by 15 he was performing live at clubs around the city. In 2003, he won a national contest which gave him the opportunity to record his first album.

Breakthrough Success

In 2005, Yomo released his first album entitled 'Aquí No Se Acaba' which featured collaborations with big names in the Latin music world. The album was met with great success and peaked at #2 on the Latin Billboard chart. Following its release, Yomo embarked on a world tour to promote his album. He also released several hit singles such as 'No Hay Manera' and 'Tengo Un Amor'.

Later Career

In 2016, Yomo released his second album 'La Formula', which featured collaborations with artists such as Daddy Yankee and J Balvin. The album debuted at #1 on the Latin Billboard chart and received critical acclaim from both fans and critics alike. Yomo continues to produce new music and collaborate with artists from around the world.
