What is Zero 7?

Zero 7 is a British electronic music duo from London. It was formed in 1997 by Henry Binns and Sam Hardaker. The band’s name originates from the number of days they had to finish their first album.

History

Binns and Hardaker first met at a party in London in 1996. They created their own label, Ultimate Dilemma Records, and released their debut single “I Have Seen” in 1997. Their debut album Simple Things followed in 2001. The album featured guest vocals from Sia and Sophie Barker, both of whom became part of the core line-up of the group. The group released two follow-up albums, When It Falls and The Garden, both of which received critical acclaim. They also released several EPs and singles over the years.
