Who is Azis?

Azis (birth name Vasil Troyanov Boyanov) is a renowned Bulgarian pop singer, songwriter and producer. He first came to the attention of the public in 1995 with the release of his debut album ‘San Trope’. Since then he has released many successful albums and singles, including ‘Cherno More’ (2003), ‘Ludata Doide’ (2007) and ‘Angel Si Ti’ (2009). He has also collaborated with some of the biggest names in the music industry, such as Mariana Popova, Gery-Nikol and Jeni.

Early life

Azis was born on 3 October 1978 in Sofia, Bulgaria. He comes from a large family, with two brothers and two sisters. His father was a construction worker, while his mother stayed at home to look after the children. From a young age Azis was passionate about music and started singing in local clubs when he was just 16 years old.

Career

In 1995 Azis released his debut album ‘San Trope’ which was a major success in Bulgaria. He followed this up with the equally successful albums ‘Cherno More’ (2003) and ‘Ludata Doide’ (2007). His 2009 album ‘Angel Si Ti’ was particularly successful and earned him numerous awards, including Best Male Artist at the MTV Europe Music Awards. Azis has collaborated with many other Bulgarian artists, including Mariana Popova, Gery-Nikol and Jeni. He has also made appearances on several TV programmes, including X Factor Bulgaria.

Awards & Achievements

Azis has won many awards throughout his career, including Best Male Artist at the MTV Europe Music Awards in 2009 for his album ‘Angel Si Ti’. He has also been nominated for numerous other awards, including Best Male Artist at the World Music Awards in 2006 for his album ‘Ludata Doide’.

Personal Life

Azis is currently single but has been married twice before. He has two sons from his previous marriages. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and friends as well as travelling to new places. He also loves to sing karaoke with his friends.
