Chung Ha was born on February 9th, 1996, in Seoul, South Korea. Her real name is Ha Chun-hwa. She first gained recognition after appearing on the reality show Produce 101 in 2016. After finishing fourth in the competition, she officially debuted as a member of girl group IOI. The group released several hit singles before disbanding in 2017. In 2018, Chung Ha launched her solo career with the single “Why Don’t You Know”. The song was an instant success, charting at number two on Billboard's World Digital Song Sales chart.
