Who is Doda?

Doda (real name Dorota Rabczewska) is a Polish pop singer and songwriter. She became one of Poland's most popular artists in the early 2000s with her catchy tunes and hit singles. The 36-year-old has been a judge on television shows such as X-Factor and The Voice of Poland. She has also won numerous awards for her music.

Early Life and Career Beginnings

Doda was born in Ciechanów, Poland on March 15, 1984. She grew up with her parents and two siblings in a small city just outside of Warsaw. As a teenager, she developed an interest in music and began writing songs. She was also a part of a local band called Varius Manx. In 2003, she released her debut album titled Diamond Bitch which quickly became a commercial success in Poland.

Rise to Fame

In 2005, Doda released her second album titled 7 Pokus Głównych which went on to become even more successful than her first album. It featured some of her most popular songs such as “Rany” and “Katharsis”. The following year, she released her third album titled King of Cokes which included the hit single “Nie daj się”. Her fourth album titled Afrodyta was released in 2008 and was even more successful than its predecessors. It included the hit singles “Bad Girls” and “Elektrode” which both went on to become major hits in Poland.

Continued Success

Since then, Doda has continued to release new music and tour around the world. She released her fifth studio album titled Diamond Bitch Reloaded in 2010 which included the hit single “Katharsis 2”. In 2011, she released her sixth studio album titled Do It All which featured the hit single “Lollipop”. She has also collaborated with numerous other artists such as Kasia Wilk, Krzysztof Zalewski and Mrozu.

Awards and Achievements

In 2006, Doda won the MTV Europe Music Award for Best Polish Act. She has also won numerous awards at the Fryderyk Music Awards including two awards for Best Female Vocalist (2010 & 2011) and two awards for Best Album (2005 & 2010).

Personal Life

Doda is currently single but she has been in a relationship with Polish actor Maciej Musiał since 2010. She resides in Warsaw, Poland.
