Everclear is a popular rock band known for their unique sound and classic hits. Led by songwriter Art Alexakis, the band has been around since 1992. Since then, they have released nine studio albums and numerous singles that have made the charts in both the US and Canada. The band has also collaborated with several notable artists, including Rivers Cuomo, Paul Westerberg, and Moby.
The Early Years of Everclear
The band formed in Portland, Oregon in 1992 and was originally composed of Art Alexakis (vocals/guitar), Craig Montoya (bass) and Scott Cuthbert (drums). They released their first album, World of Noise, in 1993 to critical acclaim. The band went on to record several more albums over the next few years, including Sparkle and Fade (1995), So Much for the Afterglow (1997) and Songs from an American Movie Vol. 1: Learning How to Smile (2000).
Later Albums & Collaborations
In 2007, the band released Welcome to the Drama Club, their first album in five years. The album featured collaborations with Rivers Cuomo from Weezer and Paul Westerberg from The Replacements. The band also collaborated with Moby on a cover of the song 'Gone for Good'. In 2011, they released their ninth studio album, Invisible Stars.
