Action Bronson, real name Ariyan Arslani, is an American rapper and former chef from Flushing, Queens, New York. He has been active in the music industry since 2008. He is known for his unique blend of rap and cooking, as well as his eclectic music style.

Early Life

Bronson was born on December 2, 1983 in Flushing, Queens, New York. His father was an Albanian immigrant from Kosovo who came to America in the 1970s. His mother was a Jewish New Yorker from Brooklyn. Bronson attended the Art Institute of New York City and worked as a chef in several upscale restaurants in Manhattan.

Career

Bronson began his career as a rapper in 2008, releasing his debut album Dr. Lecter under Fine Fabric Delegates. This project received critical acclaim and led to him signing with Atlantic Records in 2011. His major label debut album was released in 2012, titled Mr. Wonderful. This album was a commercial success and featured singles such as “Easy Rider”, “Actin Crazy” and “Terry”. Bronson has since released four studio albums, two EPs and several mixtapes.

Cooking Career

In addition to his music career, Bronson is also a successful television personality and chef. He has appeared on various cooking shows such as Vice’s F*ck That’s Delicious and The Untitled Action Bronson Show on Viceland. He has also written two cookbooks: F*ck That’s Delicious: An Annotated Guide To Eating Well (2017) and Stay Classy: Recipes I've Learned Along The Way (2019).
