Alexa Ilacad is a Filipino pop singer and actress who has gained international recognition for her love of music and performing. Born Alexandra Marie Ilacad on April 6, 1996 in Quezon City, Philippines, she started singing at a young age and has since released multiple singles and albums. In 2020, she won Best Female Recording Artist at the MYX Music Awards for her album “Forever Summer”.

Early Life & Career Beginnings

Ilacad began singing at a young age, taking part in local singing competitions and performing at school events. She was discovered by a talent agency in 2011, leading to her auditioning for the movie “Babae sa Septic Tank” which she got a role in. She then went on to star in the movie “Can We Still Be Friends?” in 2017 alongside Gerald Anderson and Arci Muñoz. Her first album “Forever Summer” was released in 2018 with the lead single “Tuloy Pa Rin” becoming an instant hit. The album also featured songs from other artists such as Rico Blanco, Gloc-9 and Bea Lorenzo.

Ilacad rose to fame with her single “Stay Up All Night” which was released in 2019. The single was featured on the soundtrack of the movie “Para sa Hopeless Romantic” which starred James Reid and Nadine Lustre.
