Biography

Anth is a multi-talented music artist from Kenya. He was born Anthony Ndwaru in the year 1993. He grew up in an artistic family and developed an interest in music from an early age. His parents were both musicians and were heavily involved in the local music scene. From them, Anth learned how to play various instruments like the guitar, ukulele, drums, and keyboard.

Career Highlights

At the age of 17, Anth released his first EP titled ‘The Journey’. The EP was well received by fans and critics alike and helped him gain recognition in the local music scene. In the following years, Anth released two albums titled ‘Visions’ and ‘Dreams’ which further cemented his place as an artist to watch.

Anth has released a total of four albums to date. His debut album ‘The Journey’ was released in 2010 and featured the singles ‘Chasing Shadows’ and ‘Fate’. His second album ‘Visions’ was released in 2013 and included the hit single ‘What You Need’. His third album ‘Dreams’ was released in 2016 and featured the singles ‘The Road Ahead’ and ‘Love & War’. His latest album ‘Illusions’ was released in 2019.

In 2012 Anth won Best New Artist at the Kenyan Music Awards and has since been nominated for several other awards including Best Male Artist at the MTV Africa Music Awards in 2015.

Personal Life

Outside of music Anth enjoys reading books, playing video games, surfing, and spending time with friends and family. He currently lives in Nairobi with his wife and two children.
