The Early Life of Brett Eldredge

Brett Eldredge was born Brett Ryan Eldredge on March 23, 1986, in Paris, Illinois. His parents, Rob and Robin, owned a small business in town. Growing up, Brett was surrounded by music. His mother was a choir director and his father played guitar. From the time he was a young boy, Brett wanted to be a performer. He began taking piano lessons at the age of six, and at the age of eight, he learned to play the guitar.

In high school, Eldredge was part of a jazz band. He also sang in the school choir and performed with a local theater group. After graduating from high school in 2004, he moved to Nashville to pursue his dream of becoming a country music singer.

The Success of Brett Eldredge

In Nashville, Eldredge took vocal lessons and began writing songs. He eventually signed a record deal with Atlantic Records in 2009. His self-titled debut album came out in 2010 to critical acclaim. The album spawned several hit singles including “Don't Ya”, “Beat of the Music”, and “Mean to Me”. It was certified gold by the RIAA.

In 2013, Eldredge released his second studio album, Bring You Back. It was well received by critics and fans alike. It included the singles “Don't Ya” and “Beat of the Music” which both reached number one on the country charts. The album also earned him two Grammy nominations for Best Country Album and Best Country Solo Performance.

In 2015, Eldredge released his third studio album Illinois. The album debuted at number one on the country charts and spawned several hit singles including “Lose My Mind”, “Wanna Be That Song”, and “Drunk on Your Love”. It was certified gold by the RIAA.

Eldredge has since released two more albums - Glow in 2016 and self-titled Brett Eldredge in 2017 - that have both been certified platinum by the RIAA. He has collaborated with several other artists including Thomas Rhett, Meghan Trainor, Carly Pearce, and Kelly Clarkson.
