Choi Siwon is a South Korean singer, songwriter, actor, and model best known as a member of the K-pop boy band Super Junior. He debuted as a solo artist in 2006 with the release of his first EP. Since then he has released several solo singles and made collaborations with other artists. Besides music, Choi Siwon has also acted in several films and television shows. His most notable roles are in the series ‘She Was Pretty’ and ‘Revolutionary Love’.
Early Life
Choi Siwon was born on April 7, 1986 in Seoul, South Korea. He attended Sungkyunkwan University majoring in Film Arts and graduated in 2015. He started his career as a child actor in 2000. His first television appearance was in the drama ‘Precious Family’.
Career
In 2005, Choi Siwon became a part of the K-pop boy group Super Junior and their subgroup, Super Junior-T. The group rose to fame with their single ‘U’. The same year he released his debut EP ‘Show Me Your Love’ with the lead single of the same name which was also performed by Super Junior. In 2008 he released his second EP ‘Don't Don’ with the lead single ‘Don't Don’. The album was a commercial success peaking at number two on Gaon Album Chart.
Acting Career
In 2009 Choi Siwon started his acting career with his debut film ‘Attack on the Pin-Up Boys’ where he played one of the main roles. In 2015 he starred in the series ‘She Was Pretty’ alongside Hwang Jung-eum and Park Seo Joon. His performance earned him several awards including MBC Drama Awards for Best New Actor and SBS Drama Awards for Best New Actor.

Choi Siwon has released two EPs so far – ‘Show Me Your Love’ (2006) and ‘Don't Don’ (2008). He has also released two digital singles – ‘The Time I Loved You 7000 Days’ (2015) and ‘Only You’ (2018). He has also collaborated with other artists such as Uhm Jung Hwa and Girls' Generation's Seohyun.
