Chuy Lizarraga is a Mexican singer, songwriter and record producer from Ciudad Obregon, Sonora. He is best known for being the leader of the Mexican banda group Banda Sinaloense MS de Sergio Lizarraga. He is also the founder of his own record label, Lizos Music.

Early Life and Career

Born José Jesús Lizárraga Esparza on May 11, 1972 in Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, Mexico, Chuy began his musical career at the age of 15 with Grupo Bronco in 1987. In 1992 he was invited to join Banda Sinaloense MS de Sergio Lizarraga. After a few years he decided to leave the group and form his own banda group in 1997. He founded his own record label, Lizos Music, in the same year. His first album as a solo artist was released in 1998. The album was titled “De Corazón a Corazón” and it was well received by critics and fans alike.

Chuy’s musical style is rooted in traditional Mexican banda music which has been popularized in recent years by artists like Espinoza Paz and Anahí. His songs are characterized by their upbeat rhythm and catchy choruses that often focus on love and relationships.
