Who is David Otero?

David Otero is a Spanish singer, songwriter, and musician. He was born on October 23rd 1981 in Madrid, Spain. He is best known for his hit single “Tanto” which reached number one on the Spanish singles charts. He has been nominated for three Latin Grammy Awards and has collaborated with some of the most popular singers in Spain such as Yuridia, Lola Indigo, and Agoney.

Early life and career

David Otero began his music career at the age of 19 when he joined the band “La Oreja de Van Gogh” as a backing vocalist. After two years with the band he left to pursue a solo career. In 2006 he released his debut album “La Vida Entera” which spawned several hit singles including “Tanto” and “Sueño Contigo”. His follow up album “Mi Vida Entera” was released in 2009 and featured collaborations with some of Spain’s most successful singers including Yuridia and Lola Indigo.

Recent work

In 2015 David Otero released his third studio album “Canciones de Amor y Desamor” which featured collaborations with Agoney and Luis Fonsi. The album was nominated for two Latin Grammy Awards including Best Contemporary Pop Vocal Album. He followed up with the album “El Paraiso Esta Cerca” in 2017 which featured the hit single “No Quiero Perderte”. He has since released two more albums “Arde” (2018) and “Atlas” (2019).
