DJ Honesty is an extraordinary mentor of the dance-floor with a wide-open vision and taste of dance music culture. He embodies 90´s minimal housevibes and the vibrancy of modern times grooves. Spining rare and exeptional tracks, serving the dancefloor with precise and chasing mixes. Merging the funk raw instinct of chicago house with the minimalist flow and elegance of detroit techno. Regular Dj at the infamous Berlin`s Heidegluehen, Dj Honesty has shaken and inspired many ravers around the globe, from NYC Output to Glastonbury Festival, from Tresor to D-Edge in São Paulo. Living in Berlin in the early 90´s DJ Honesty was one of the protagonists in the city’s rising Electronic music scene. Between 1996 and 2003 he contributed to the shaping of Cabinet Records with a set of 12-inches under the Honey Drop moniker. Together with Daniel Paul, he founded the broken-beat jazzy project Slope, baking up timeless EPs and albums for the likes of Sonar Kollektiv, Mermaid and Slopemusic. Between 2008 and 2013 he worked for the renown Calyx Mastering studio as vinyl mastering and cutting engineer. Since 2013 he has been focussing again on the DJ Honesty repertoire, living some very prolific years with records appearing on Sebo K`s Scenario, Bass Culture and Cabinet Records. Highly acclaimed works such as the recent “Honey Drop 5” or the timeless track "Moss" are representative of his sound of today. Where minimalistic jazz-funk keys and harmonics warmly move among robust organic and garage-like drum programmings. Beside his production work he is a requested remixer with a number of assignments for the labels Inner Balance, Scenario, Quality Vibe and Cabinet Records among others.
