Who is Dokyeom?

Dokyeom is a South Korean singer-songwriter and producer. Born Kim Dokyum in 1997, he has been making music since he was 15 years old. He debuted in 2016 with the single ""Ugly Duckling"" and has gone on to collaborate with some of the biggest names in K-pop.

Early Life & Career Beginnings

Dokyeom was born on April 8th, 1997 in South Korea. From an early age, he showed an interest in music and started learning to play the guitar when he was 12 years old. He began writing his own music shortly thereafter. In 2016, he released his debut single ""Ugly Duckling"", which was met with critical acclaim. This propelled him to fame and he subsequently signed a record deal with SM Entertainment.

Rise to Fame

In the years following his debut, Dokyeom quickly rose to stardom. He collaborated with some of the biggest names in K-pop, including BTS, TWICE and BLACKPINK. His most successful collaboration to date is ""Spring Day"", which was released as part of BTS's album Wings in 2017. The song went on to become one of the most successful K-pop songs of all time.

Recent Projects

In 2019, Dokyeom released his second single ""Goodbye"" which received positive reviews from critics. He also collaborated with TWICE on their single ""Like Ooh-Ahh"", which became one of the group's most successful singles. Most recently, he collaborated with BLACKPINK on their single ""How You Like That"", which was released in 2020.

Dokyeom is currently single and resides in Seoul. In his spare time, he enjoys playing the guitar and spending time with his friends. He also enjoys traveling and exploring new cultures.
