Edi Rock is an award-winning Brazilian rapper, singer and songwriter from Rio de Janeiro. Early Life & Career

Edi Rock was born Eduardo Pereira in Rio de Janeiro on December 7, 1976. As a child, he was exposed to a variety of musical influences including funk, samba, and hip hop. He began performing at local clubs in the mid-1990s and soon became a part of the burgeoning Brazilian hip hop scene. In 2000 he released his debut album Mundo Virtual which featured collaborations with some of the biggest names in Brazilian music. The album was a critical and commercial success and launched Edi Rock’s career. Since then he has released several more albums which have all achieved critical acclaim.
