The Early Years of Face

Face, a Mexican hip hop artist born Fernando Lomelí, was born in 1983 in Tlalnepantla, Mexico. He grew up listening to traditional Mexican music and American rap, beginning to rap and write his own songs at the age of 14. His early work included collaborations with various local artists and groups, such as La Energia Norteña, Banda Los Sebastianes and Los Ángeles Azules.

Rise to Fame

In 2003, Face released his debut album “Mi Corazón” which featured hits like “No Más” and “Quiero Llegar al Cielo”. The album was a success, leading to collaborations with other popular Latin American artists such as Grupo Firme. In 2007, he released his second album “Tiempo de Corazones” which became an even bigger hit than his debut album. The album featured hits like “Un Poco Más” and “Enamorado de Ti”.

Continued Success

Since then, Face has released several albums including “Cicatrices” (2009), “Cumbias y Reggaetón” (2010) and “Para el Futuro” (2015). He has also collaborated with numerous other artists including Don Omar, Calibre 50 and Tito El Bambino. His music is characterized by upbeat rhythms, catchy hooks and heartfelt lyrics. In 2017, he released his seventh studio album titled “Yo Te Vi” which featured the hit single “Déjalo Ir”.
