Early Life
Fayrouz's career began when she was 15 years old. She performed as a backup singer in concerts and radio stations in Beirut. During this period, she was discovered by the then-famous composer Halim El Roumi, who helped her launch her professional career.
Career
In 1957, Fayrouz released her first single 'Lebnan Ya Omri', which became an instant hit and propelled her to stardom across the Arab world. The success of this single was followed by many other hit songs such as 'Bhebbak Ya Lebnan', 'Ana Min', 'Ya Habibi Taala' and 'Ya Zalemni'.
