Early Life

Hatch was raised by his mother in the Melrose neighborhood of Baton Rouge. His father was absent from his life and he grew up surrounded by violence – a lifestyle he eventually adopted as a teen. After being arrested for theft at the age of sixteen, he was sent to a juvenile detention center for two years. It was during this period that Hatch began to take music seriously and hone his skills as a rapper.

Hatch adopted the stage name Fredo Bang in 2015, inspired by his father's nickname 'Big Fred'.
