Introduction

Gaz Mawete is a Congolese singer, songwriter and actor born in 1988. He is considered one of the best musicians in Africa, having made a huge impact on the African music industry. He has also had a successful career in film, appearing in more than five movies.

Early Life

Mawete was born and raised in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. His parents were both musicians, and he was exposed to different kinds of music from a young age. He started performing at local events with his father's band at the age of 14 and soon gained recognition for his talent. In 2002, he released his first solo album, which was very well-received by the public.

Career

In 2010, Mawete released his second album, 'Mama'. The album was a huge success and earned him numerous awards and accolades. He then went on to collaborate with other popular African artists such as Ferre Gola, Fally Ipupa and Petit Pays. In 2018, he released his third album 'La Vie Est Belle', which was even more successful than his previous albums.
