Introduction

Gita Novalista Gutawa, better known as Gita Gutawa, is an Indonesian singer-songwriter. She rose to fame in 2007 when she released her debut single, “Aku Cinta Dia”. Since then, she has released several singles, albums and EPs, collaborating with renowned artists like Ada Band, Audy and Citra Scholastika.

Career

Gita started singing at a very young age. She first performed in front of a large audience in 2004 at the music show “Indonesian Idol”. In 2006, she was signed to the label Aquarius Musikindo and released her debut single, “Aku Cinta Dia”. The song was a success and Gita gained nationwide attention.

In 2009, Gita released her self-titled debut album, which featured some of her biggest hits. Among them were “Aku Cinta Dia”, “Melangkah” and “Karena Ku Sanggup”. The album was a success, reaching number one on the Indonesian charts.

Since then, Gita has released several more singles and albums. She has collaborated with other artists like Ada Band, Audy and Citra Scholastika. She has also appeared in numerous television shows and even acted as a judge on the talent show “Indonesian Idol Junior”.
