Who is Gzuz?

Gzuz is a German rapper, songwriter, and record producer. He is best known for his work with the hip hop collective 187 Strassenbande. Gzuz was born Kristoffer Martin in Hamburg, Germany on June 17, 1988. He is of German descent, and his stage name is an acronym for “Ghetto Zeug unzensiert zusammen” (Ghetto Stuff Uncensored Together).

Early Career

Gzuz first began rapping in 2008 when he joined the rap group 187 Strassenbande. The group consists of several other rappers including Bonez MC, Maxwell, LX, Sa4 and RAF Camora. Gzuz has been featured on numerous 187 Strassenbande projects including the albums High & Hungrig (2014) and High & Hungrig 2 (2015). He also released several solo mixtapes including Ebbe & Flut (2016) and Ebbe & Flut 2 (2017).

Breakthrough

In 2016, Gzuz released his debut studio album High & Hungrig 3 which reached number one on the German Albums Chart. The album featured guest appearances from RAF Camora and fellow 187 Strassenbande members. The album also spawned two successful singles “Was Hast Du Gedacht” and “Bis Einer Geht”. In 2017, Gzuz released his sophomore album Wolke 7 which also reached number one on the German Albums Chart. The album featured guest appearances from Maeckes, Maxwell and other 187 Strassenbande members.

Recent Projects

In 2018, Gzuz released his third studio album Ebbe & Flut which peaked at number three on the German Albums Chart. The album featured guest appearances from Bonez MC and RAF Camora. In 2019, Gzuz released his fourth studio album Wolke 4 which also peaked at number three on the German Albums Chart. The album featured guest appearances from LX and RAF Camora.

Personal Life

Gzuz currently resides in Hamburg, Germany. He is known to keep his personal life private but in 2017 he revealed that he has a son with whom he has a close relationship with.
