Who is Il Volo?
Il Volo is an Italian operatic pop trio formed by Ignazio Boschetto, Piero Barone and Gianluca Ginoble. They have achieved international success as solo artists, but they have become known worldwide for their vocal harmonies and powerful stage presence. The trio made their debut in 2009 at the Sanremo Music Festival, where they performed their first single, “O Sole Mio”. They then went on to tour with Barbra Streisand and released several successful albums over the next few years.

Ignazio Boschetto is the youngest member of the group and is known for his high tenor voice. Piero Barone has a more traditional tenor voice and is the most outgoing of the group. Gianluca Ginoble has a baritone voice and is considered to be the most serious of the three.
Notable Collaborations
In 2016, Il Volo collaborated with Latin American singer Belinda on the single “Soy Tu Superstar”. They also collaborated with Cuban reggaeton duo Gente de Zona on their Spanish-language single “Yo Sí Te Quiero” in 2017. Most recently, Il Volo have collaborated with renowned opera singer Placido Domingo on their song “Grande Amore”.

In 2011, Il Volo won a Latin Grammy Award for Best New Artist. In 2012, they were awarded a World Music Award for World’s Best Selling Italian Artist. In 2013, they were honored with two awards at the Wind Music Awards in Rome: Best Pop Artist and Best Album of the Year. Il Volo has also received multiple nominations at the MTV Europe Music Awards.
