IRIDIUM DRAINER

So like the counts and the legends, like an incipit, IRIDIUM DRAINER invites us to pause our attention. Iridium Drainer thus offers us a singular and forgotten situation: the pleasure of listening could only be savored insofar as one places oneself in a situation of receptive listening, and reflexive, as one takes place in intimacy. of an armchair reading a science fiction novel.

Biographie

My first album, The Day of Forgotten Emotions, was released in March 2019 with a cover by Jean-Philippe Munoz. My last EP Once upon a time ..., was released in April 2021, the cover is directly inspired by a creation by Andrey Bobir. These two albums were mixed at the Studio du Frigo in Albi by Victor Pezet. Christophe Chapelle did the mastering at Sinetracks Mastering in Blagnac. For the broadcast, I called on the distributor iMusician. This achievement is the fruit of a long journey dating back to my teenage years. Indeed, it was during this period that I began to be immersed in musical trends such as Cold-Wave, New-Wave, industrial music, EBM, etc. The discovery of the French group T21 and their sound universe finally convinced me to acquire my first Sampler. Then the demands of life took me away from music for a while. But as with any activity driven by sincere passion, the lack gradually made itself felt; The desire to reconnect with musical creation prompted me to set up my own Home Studio. By composing these two concept albums, I wanted to explore a dystopian universe in which the listener would have the leisure to immerse himself by fabricating his own stories and letting his emotions speak freely. The musical color echoes a chronic melancholy, a disenchantment, however, imbued with a glimmer of hope that lights a path to a possible reconstruction. The composition of each piece is for me an initiatory journey that takes the time to build up step by step: first the composition and the search for sounds, then the arrangements, and finally the elaboration of the Sound Design. Imaging is also a major step in this creative process. Ultimately, my work must above all be a reflection of my demand for authenticity, my trademark. Wishing you good listening.
