Introduction
Jelena Karleuša is a Serbian pop icon and one of the most successful musicians in Serbia. Born in 1979 in Belgrade, Jelena has been recording and performing music since the age of 14. With an impressive discography, she has released 12 studio albums and many singles that have become international hits. Throughout her career, Jelena has collaborated with a number of top artists such as Viktorija Modrok, Nebojša Vasiljević and Ivana Selakov.
Early Life
Jelena Karleuša was born in Belgrade, Serbia. Her father Goran Karleuša was a famous musician in Serbia who introduced her to music. Since she was 5 years old, Jelena was taking lessons in classical piano and guitar. At the age of 14, Jelena started recording music professionally. In 1995 she released her first single “Ludi Letnji Ples” which quickly gained popularity in Serbia.
Career
In 1997, Jelena released her first studio album “S’ Tobom Povezani” which was an instant success and certified gold in Serbia. She followed it up with two more albums “Ritam Ljubavi” (2000) and “Kao Magija” (2003). During this time, Jelena was also collaborating with other top artists such as Viktorija Modrok, Nebojša Vasiljević and Ivana Selakov. In 2008 she released her fourth album “Ostani Tu” which became her biggest hit to date and certified platinum. Since then, Jelena has released 8 more albums with numerous singles and collaborated with many other top artists.

Jelena Karleuša is one of the most successful musicians in Serbia with numerous awards under her belt. She has won 3 MTV Music Video Awards for Best Song of the Year, Best Female Artist of the Year, and Best Music Video of the Year. Jelena is currently married to basketball player Nikola Anđušić and they have two children together. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis and spending time with her family.
