Who is JP Saxe?

JP Saxe is a Canadian singer-songwriter from Toronto, Canada. Born Jonathan Patrick Saxe in 1995, he has been writing songs since he was a teenager. He attended Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, where he studied music and songwriting. After graduating in 2017, he moved back to Toronto to pursue a career in music.

Saxes's first single, 'Changed', was released in April 2018. The song was well-received by fans and critics alike and has since gone on to amass over 20 million streams on Spotify. Since then, he has released several singles, including 'The Few Things' (2019), 'If The World Was Ending' (2020) with Julia Michaels, and 'A Little Bit Yours' (2021). In 2020, JP Saxe's collaboration with Julia Michaels entitled 'If The World Was Ending' was nominated for three Grammy awards – Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Song of the Year and Best Song Written For Visual Media – making him the first Canadian solo artist nominated for Song of the Year at the Grammy Awards in over 17 years. The single also won two iHeartRadio Music Awards for Best Collaboration and Best Lyrics.
