Larry Hernández is a Mexican singer, songwriter and accordionist. He was born Omar Alberto Hernández Cardona on April 19, 1978 in Los Angeles, California. He is best known for his unique style of traditional Mexican music fused with modern American influences. His career took off when he started performing with La Banda El Recodo in 2002. He released his first solo album in 2006, and has since released several other albums and collaborated with many other renowned artists. His music has been described as having an “inimitable style”, combining romantic ballads with upbeat, danceable rhythms.

In 2002, Larry Hernandez joined La Banda El Recodo as their lead singer. During this period he achieved immense success with the band, releasing three albums during his tenure. Following this, he decided to go solo and released his first solo album titled “Gallo de Pelea” in 2006. The album was well received by critics and fans alike and featured several hit singles including “El Gallo de Pelea”, “Quien Eres Tu” and “Por Que Me Ilusionaste”.
